The Forestry Commission has announced plans for a new National Signage Framework worth up to £2.4 million (inc. VAT) over four years. The framework will support signage and timber structure supply across Forestry England sites, with a strong emphasis on supplier capability, flexibility, and installation readiness.
The framework is currently in the preliminary market engagement phase, with the formal tender expected to be published on 13 February 2026.
What Is the National Signage Framework?
The Forestry Commission (through Forestry England) is seeking to establish a framework for the supply of panels and timber signage structures, some with and some without installation, to support national park and woodland signage needs.
The framework is proposed to include four lots:
- Lot 1 – Panels and timber structures with installation
- Lot 2 – Timber structures only with installation
- Lot 3 – Panels and timber structures without installation
- Lot 4 – Timber structures only without installation
This structure is designed to ensure flexibility and to attract a wide supplier base, including SMEs, VCSEs, and regional manufacturers.
