Our Bid Mentor Service (BMS) is designed to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in bidding for tenders more effectively. It is for clients who want to improve their bidding performance, who require a third party to add expertise, rather than purely bid writing capacity. Many of our Bid Mentor clients engage our services as a way to provide training and support to their in-house team, who may have competing priorities.

The Bid Mentor Service includes:


- Monthly meetings - we'll have a monthly video meeting to review your progress and actions against your bid plan and strategy. This helps ensure you're on track and making the most of your bidding efforts

- Team performance review and development - assessing your team's performance and win rates to identify areas for improvement. This helps us tailor our support to address any specific challenges you're facing

- Bid reviews and support - depending on your package, we offer bid reviews and support to help you strengthen your bids for live tender opportunities. This includes feedback on your bids and assistance with bid writing each month.

Bid Mentors: who will you work with?


Our Bid Mentor Service is delivered by our in-house, trusted and proven bid writing team, with guidance from senior members of our Bid Team, who are experts in the field of bidding and procurement. Here's who you'll be working with:

  • Operations Director. Formerly our Head of Bids, Tom leads our service delivery and oversees our Bid Team and wider bid research and administration teams. He brings extensive experience in bid strategy and management
  • Head of Bids. Our Head of Bids is responsible for leading our team of bid writers and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our bid submissions. Maria has trained and developed some of the best of our bid writers! She is solution driven and embeds quality assurance as she goes
  • Bid Manager. Our Bid Managers have proven themselves as expert bid writer, managers and leaders. They are professionals who specialise in monitoring, developing and quickly improving bids. They ensure that bids are organised, well-executed, and meet all requirements
  • Development Director. With a focus on training, skills and growth, our Development Director plays a key role in developing your talented team. Charles leads our bid writing courses and brings a strategic perspective to our Bid Mentor Service, as well as passion for continuous improvement.
  • Our Senior Bid Writers and wider team. Our senior team will draw on the skills and resources of our wider bid team. This provides you with access to bid capacity and subject matter specialists to drive improvements in tender identification, selection, writing and management. Our team also includes knowledge and skills to develop your wider public sector sales and marketing strategy to aid you in winning more bids and contracts.

Together, our Bid Team bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our Bid Mentor Service. They are dedicated to helping your business improve its bidding capabilities and achieve greater success in securing contracts.

8 Steps to Bidding

Bid Mentor Service is priced from £650 per month. This fee includes the monthly video meeting and one day per month dedicated to bid reviews, bid writing help, research, and mini bespoke training sessions to enhance your skills.

As a Bid Mentor client, you'll also receive 10% off our wider bid writing services, such as bid writing training and support.

If you're not sure about committing to the full service, you can send us a live or recent bid for review and feedback. However, working consistently with a client allows us to better understand their challenges in context and provide more effective bid support over time.
