Recently appointed Chair of the newly formed Central Government Council, Tom McCann, aims to focus heavily on building relationships and facilitating closer engagement with Central Government. Mr McCann, of systems integrator Sopra Steria, has previously stated that the shifting landscape of central government IT procurement has been creating new challenges for businesses across the country. For each project a thorough business case must be specified. This means there is a lot more work done in the procurement cycle.
