Thornton & Lowe has acquired Bidding Ltd's bid and tender management consultancy, welcoming its talented team as well as the HealthBid and AM Bid names into the wider Thornton & Lowe family.
On December 1st, 2025, Thornton & Lowe acquired Wakefield-based Bid Writing Consultancy, Bidding Ltd.
This deal brings together four of the UK’s best-known bid companies and strengthens Thornton & Lowe’s position as a leading, specialist bid partner for organisations across the UK.
This acquisition now means Thornton & Lowe directly employs a talented team of over 60 people focused on bid management, consultancy and growth services. When it comes to outsourced bid writing and consultancy services, consistency is key. We believe that comes from a stable, directly employed team of high performers who know our clients and their markets, and with this combined team we offer unrivalled continuity and quality. Thornton & Lowe has grown organically over the last 16 years by providing by delivering the same high standard of service on every project.
For continuity, Bidding Ltd’s consultancy clients will not only retain access to the existing team they know, but will also benefit from the wider support, investment and infrastructure of Thornton & Lowe. Over the coming months there will be a structured handover, clear points of contact and opportunities for clients to meet key stakeholders across both businesses to ensure a smooth transition and a long-term working relationship.
