PROSPER has published a tender for a multi-supplier Supply & Distribution of Kitchens Framework for its members and other public sector contracting bodies across the UK. The framework is valued at £750 million excluding VAT and £900 million including VAT, with seven regional lots and a tender deadline of 27 July 2026 at 10:00am.
This is a domestic kitchens supply and distribution opportunity, not a catering services framework. It is relevant to kitchen manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of kitchen furniture, domestic appliances, worktops and associated kitchen products. If you are considering a bid, contact Thornton & Lowe for a focused assessment of your lot strategy and submission readiness.
Framework Scope and Lots
The framework covers the supply and distribution of kitchens for use by registered social landlords, local authorities, educational establishments, NHS bodies, police, fire and rescue organisations, registered charities and other eligible public sector contracting bodies.
The seven lots are split by geography:
- Lot 1 - North: North East England, North West England, Yorkshire and the Humber
- Lot 2 - Central: East Midlands, West Midlands and East of England
- Lot 3 - South East: London and South East England
- Lot 4 - South West: South West England
- Lot 5 - Wales: Wales
- Lot 6 - Scotland: Scotland
- Lot 7 - Northern Ireland: Northern Ireland
Each lot will be evaluated and awarded independently, with up to six providers sought for each lot. Suppliers can therefore target the regions where their distribution network, service levels and product range are strongest.
How Call-Offs Will Work
The framework allows two routes for awarding contracts: direct call-off and competitive selection. This gives public sector customers flexibility while making framework position valuable for suppliers that can combine strong product information, reliable distribution and competitive pricing.
PROSPER operates a retrospective contract rebate arrangement, based on invoices paid to the supplier under call-off contracts. The notice states a maximum supplier fee of 2%.
Bidding Considerations
- Choose regions carefully. Bid for lots where you can evidence delivery coverage, lead times, logistics and customer support.
- Make product data easy to evaluate. Housing and public sector buyers need clear specifications, warranties, compliance information and comparable pricing.
- Use social housing evidence. References from registered social landlords, local authority housing teams or comparable property programmes will strengthen your response.
- Plan for quality-led scoring. The award criteria are 75% quality, 20% price and 5% social value across the lots.
