Dorset County Council seeks bidders in new highways deal providing ‘top up’ services to in-house teams dorset

The exciting Dorset highways contract will see potential bidders compete for work on a partnership arrangement, by which work is divided between the contractor and the council’s own highways team. The Dorset County Council Highways project is valued between £100 million and £500 million based on the minimum of forecast budget allocated by the council and potential grant funding which could be secured. This project looks to provide supporting ‘top up’ services to aid the council’s existing in-house Highways team. There has been a steep increase in the allocated funding on previous years, which saw spending of between £10million and £15million. This is due in part to new grants secured from central government schemes and the Dorset local enterprise partnership (DLEP). Read the article here.
