We worked with the client on a number of waste management bids over an 18 month period. With a national presence, they provided an excellent service to manage clinical waste, as well as converting waste in to renewable energy. On one contract, they were the incumbent and wanted to maintain the contract. As well as writing the bid, we also developed their presentation for the post-ITT interview.
For the duration of the bid we provided the following:
- Bid Manager
- Senior Bid Writer
- Bid Writer
The client had worked with the NHS for a significant period. During our discussions at the start of the project, we identified that there was a risk that the client had not considered any new requirements within the service. Although the relationship had been excellent, until our involvement, the client was unaware that the specification of the service had developed.
We reviewed the specification and provided a summary of the service enhancements to the client. We worked closely with the Managing Director and the Operations Director to identify how they would meet the enhanced specification.
During the writing of the bid, we highlighted how, during the current relationship, our client had evolved and improved the service with their customer. We supported this by including examples of the types of improvements made. For example, the client had invested in to an additional Rotoclave, which meant higher levels of waste streams could be managed more efficiently.
We were pleased to hear that the client had successfully maintained their contract as a result of a strong competitive bid.
